"I Got Rhythm," by George/Ira Gershwin

For my song of the week, I decided to go with an upbeat, feel good song. For this, I’d have no choice but to go with “I Got Rhythm” written by George and Ira Gershwin, performed by Ethel Merman. This song gives major flapper vibes, and I love it. With the snappy jazz and catchy beat, it’s an easy song to dance to. Listening to this song makes me feel like I’m up on stage myself performing. He didn’t die, but it honestly seemed like a little part of him did.             I also really love the sound of the song, surprisingly enough. Even though there is no music, it has a very distinctive tune. I couldn’t see myself listening to this everyday for fun, but every now and then it’ll be a good one to bring up. It's a sad song, but it's a good sad song. Sad songs are good to listen to even when I’m in a good mood. Also, this ...

My name is Haylee Stratton. I don’t typically pick artists that I favor, it’s more just songs and albums that I really like. However, Lewis Capaldi is one of my favorite artists to listen to any time.☺
